<p>With no sports around the corner due to the coronavirus lockdown, the Sports fans are finding it hard with no live match on TV and with no mobile apps used for checking the scores. So how can Sports fans pass their quarantine time?</p>

<p>Here are the few activities that we listed out and as a sports fan, you can indulge in-</p>

<p>1. What’s better than a daily exercise and meditation schedule to start your day. It’s very important to stay fit no matter what the situation is and if not gym, you can still watch fitness videos of your favourite celebrity or sportsperson and can follow their fitness regime.</p>

<p>2. Enjoy the live Instagram, Facebook or Twitter videos of your favourite sports personalities. These days, the Sportspeople are interacting with their fans, their fellow players and giving interviews online which are being broadcasted live on social media. This is a great platform to interact with the players and ask them queries to enhance your sports-related skills. We recently saw the Nadal and Federer broadcast video on Facebook, AB De Villiers and Virat Kohli’s live video on Instagram and many interviews of domestic cricketers and other sports personalities happening on the Sports channels, IPL teams’ pages, Sports website pages etc.</p>

<p>3. Watch the TikTok videos of your favourite sports player. We know that this might sound lame especially for those who don’t use this app. However, if you come across David Warner’s TikTok videos on Instagram, they are a treat to watch! Also, Chahal’s videos are going viral all over the internet and receiving enormous reviews.</p>

<p>4. Watch the Insta stories/videos of sportspeople while they are training hard at home, playing with their kids, cooking new recipes etc. A true fan would like to catch up and know what are their favourite players up to!</p>

<p>5. Watch the Test on Amazon Prime video which will give you a close insight of the Australian cricket team journey right from the Sandpaper gate to the Ashes 2019. As a sports fan, you would witness the struggle of the coaches, management and players during a difficult period.</p>

Or is it because it has your favourite players as the coach? Do you support an IPL team because it belongs to your city? Or do you support a team because the owner of that team is your inspiration?</h2>
<p style="text-align: left;">There could be so many other reasons for supporting the IPL team of your choice.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The cricket fans generally prefer a team that has strongest international players in their team. Some of them chose their team because of their national cricket team captains. Let us have a look at social media to understand which team has the most number of fans on the internet. This will also give an idea to find out the most popular IPL team.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">On Facebook, the two times IPL champion, Kolkata Knight Riders page has the most number of likes with more than 16 million people following the team. The second in the list is Mumbai Indians with more than 12 million likes on Facebook. Though Mumbai Indians have one extra IPL trophy as compared to Kolkata Knight Riders, they are behind KKR regarding popularity on Facebook. One of the reasons behind their popularity might be because of superstar Shah Rukh Khan who is famous globally. The third and fourth teams concerning most numbers of Facebook likes are Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore with more than 11 million and 9 million fans respectively.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The situation is bit twisted when it comes to Twitter. Here, Mumbai Indians has 4.59 million followers and is ahead of Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders who have 3.86 million and 3.72 million followers on this social media platform.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">On Instagram, Mumbai Indians is again ahead of all other teams. MI has 1.5 million followers followed by Royal Challengers Bangalore who has 1.4 million followers.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The interesting thing to note here is that Mumbai has an estimated population of 18.41 million people and it is least if compared to any other IPL playing states. Whether it is because of the strong players in the team or because of the most number of IPL trophies or because of the owners that have the most money, this team is certainly the most popular team.</p>
